I truly believe that

Every trial we go through

Has a beginning and an end,

And for every failed Audition

To a college, there is an admission

To something greater in life—

This life! A gift where somehow our

Carbon-powered lifeforms are

A happy accident, creating life

From birth, over and over,

Creating chapter after

Chapter of new stories in

People’s lives.

COVID will be seen as

A chapter in many lives,

But not mine—it did not

Begin my chapter, and my

Next began midway into the

Pandemic.

Stop looking for your

Happily Ever After.

Live it instead.

Germinate your own

Endings and beginnings,

Around the roadblocks

You place or others place

For you—Engineer it!

Find your stride

Your strut

Your pace

And walk while you

Learn and think and

Breathe.

They say he who hesitates

Is lost. I say caution

Has its merits. Mind what

You say and do in this

Fairy Tale you are blessed

With—with your life—

Because like Cinderella or

Simpleton, you, too are a

Main Character.

Don’t stop writing your

Happy Ever After.
