{Dear White Markles} and the Media Outlets that Enable Them

Dear White Markles,

I say this with the utmost sincerity:

SHUT THE FUCK UP.

You are not special just because your family member is famous. It seems to me that, if you are being this shitty now, you were shitty the whole time she knew you and thus had every reason to stop talking to you.

Trying to imply that Meghan is some kind of ice queen shows (1) that you refuse to not be racist, even with your own blood relative; and (2) you have a disgustingly desperate need to capitalize on something because, before this, no one gave a shit about you. You are ugly people—on a basic, human level—and your vitriol is transparent as fuck.

I would say you should be ashamed, but you clearly have no capacity for that. So, instead I say:

You are worthless. You are horrible. You need to stop.

Now, as for the media outlets that give them coverage:

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!

I acknowledge that I am slightly guilty of the very thing I’m judging you for. But I’m not linking to anything these horrible racists/15-minutes of famers have said, I’m not discussing their idiocy on a major news channel, and I’m not giving anyone a book deal or a TV series (talking to you, whoever green-lit Meghan’s ex-husband’s show about being cuckolded by a prince or whatever the fuck he’s pretending happened).

I am using my platform to discuss just how fucked up it is that media outlets (and, largely, we as a society) allowed the Markles to continue being a thing. The endless coverage of whatever new, dumb thing they’re claiming about Meghan is feeding the gossip monster that just wants to see the elevated brought down a peg. I mean, has Meghan—in any way, shape, or form—said out loud that she’s better than anyone? Not to my knowledge. She is simply a girl who fell in love with and married a prince; that’s it. I’m sorry she hurt your feelings by being in a relationship with someone who happens to be royalty. But that doesn’t give you the right to shine a light on her insane relatives just to make it seem like she’s horrible.

Once again: you’re showing your racism and it is an ugly, ugly color on you.

I’m sure you’re very proud that you’ve managed to run Meghan out of England with all your bigotry. But she’s takin’ her man with her, so who’s really winning here? Spoiler alert: IT’S NOT YOU.
