Each week, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.
I have a secret that I can’t tell anyone. But if I don’t share it somewhere, some way, somehow, I’ll just lose my mind. So, why not just write it down, secure the lock, and hide the key? Isn’t that the whole point of having this little clandestine portal for words?
My secret is that I really want to write. For The Prompt. I want to be more creative. I want people to read my work. I want to spend more time being part of a creative community. So, this week, I’m actually doing it. Right?
If you’ve got some inspired ideas about this week’s prompt, send us your submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind when you think of DEAR DIARY. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, or anything else original and fresh. Just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
Email your responses to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday, October 6th at midnight EST.
