Each week, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.

Feeling hungry? Well, good news for you. Because this place has a labyrinth of chafing dishes full of piping hot, uber salty, cost-effective entrees just waiting for you to heap onto your plate. And if, for some reason, they run out of the chicken marsala or steamed green beans or mashed potatoes and gravy, you KNOW they have another four trays in the back, just waiting for their day under the sneeze guard.

Grab a fork, a knife, and some of those good cheeses. It’s time to feast on this week’s prompt.
