Each week, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.
The prompt—improper noun—is an invitation to check your boundaries. To bare your deepest, darkest secrets or do something outside your comfort zone. The Prompt—proper noun—serves the same function, when you think about it.
So. You have a choice to make every time it’s your turn:
How will you stand naked before a jury of your peers: in baring your truth, or on a dare?
Do actions speak louder than words, or is honesty the best policy? The answer in every case is both. So, what’s it going to be? Truth or Dare?
Just say the word, and send us your #truthordare submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind when you think of TRUTH OR DARE. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, satirical post, or anything else original and fresh. Just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
Email your responses to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday, May 5th at midnight EST.
We can’t wait to hear from you.
