Each week, we issue a writing prompt to our own staff, guest contributors, and readers like you. We welcome guest submissions, so if you’re interested in being featured or regularly contributing to the site, email your responses to kelaine.conochan [at] thepromptmag.com.
Champagne spills: wiped clean. Hangovers: cured. Noise-makers: gone quiet. It’s time for a clean slate and a new year. But before we all move forward, maybe we can take just a quick look back at the year gone by?
Twenty-eighteen, you may have had us on the ropes, but we freaking made it. And now, we’re going to tell your story.
Our writers are recapping some of the highlights of 2018. From pop culture to personal, we’re giving our reflections on a year that felt longer than a year could possibly be. But, don’t leave us all alone out here! We want to hear about YOUR year too.
If you’ve got some inspired ideas, send us your submission of 400-700 words. Write us anything that comes to mind when you think of YEAR IN REVIEW. It can be a personal essay, a poem, short story, script, or anything else original and fresh. Just make it worth our while and we’ll publish it, include it in our newsletter, and give you the chance to join the creative, talented staff writers here at The Prompt.
Email your responses to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, January 7th at midnight EST.
We can’t wait to hear from you.
LET THIS BE THE BEGINNING OF SOME EPIC CREATIVE DIPSHITTERY!
